Near record warmth during the first half of December kept winter at bay. Finally winter appeared in the last week of the month.

Bribikes, Thanks for stopping by. When Pugsley is happy, I’m happy. The majority of my miles are done commuting or leisure rides on the road. However, I have to admit the funnest rides of the year are the rides I do on snow on my fatbike. After ten years of snowbiking, it still puts a smile on my face every single time.

Nice post, makes me want to get out and ride around. And I’m glad you started blogging (again)! I’ve been on the lookout for good adventury blogs, and it seems like there was a mass die off of blogs several years ago due to the rise of facebook and other social media. It’s encouraging to see others picking it back up again. I’ll be sure to follow along with your biking adventures!

Forrest, thanks for stopping by. I hope I don’t disappoint. As I get older my adventures become much less epic and more about making the most of daily outings. I followed the link to your website. I see you finished the PCT in 2007. My wife and I thru-hiked the AT in 2001. We are backpackers as well.

I’m all about the small adventures these days as well, and I have a greater appreciation for those making the most of the time they to get out, even if it’s just a daily outing. We had a child a couple years back, so an epic adventure for us these days is driving around for three hours in the middle of the night while on a camping trip, trying to get our little one back to sleep! I am looking forward to doing some backpacking trips with the little guy once he’s old enough though.
Anyways, looking forward to reading more of your blog and following your outings!
